Call of the Washington County Election Commission Pursuant to TCA §2-1-113 Notice is hereby given that the commission will meet on

• Public Comments

• Communication from Chairperson

• Review and approval of Minutes (included)

• Administrator Report & Communications (included)

  • Office will be participating in the Washington County Insider program (formerly County 101) on July 28, 5:30-8:00 P.M.

  • At Mayor Grandy’s suggestion, the county will be making some smart and necessary changes to employees’ comp time accumulation (100 max) and annual leave policies. Still developing.

  • Complete Q3 Inspection Report TCA §2-2-120 (handout)

  • Certify Early and Election Day voting machines by commissioners randomly selecting machines for inspection (handout) TCA § 2-9-105

  • Conduct any election business before the commission pursuant to duties listed in TCA § 2-12-116, and any other business that may come before the commission

• Schedule the next meeting (Aug 18^th  9:30 am)  Certification due by Aug 24 TCA § 2-8-101

NOTE: This meeting will be held at the Washington County Election Commission Office located at 2516 East Oakland Ave, Johnson City, TN 37601

Public Comment Sign-Up Sheets will be placed at the entrance of the meeting space fifteen (15) minutes until two (2) minutes before the start of the meeting. Must be a Washington County Resident to sign up and are given three (3) minutes to speak about items on the agenda or pertinent to the duties of the Washington County Election Commission.
